Amy Lane is interupting her usual moment of blogging, editing, and surfing the net randomly in order to stay awake to hover in her knitting corner, snarling rabidly at any unhappy family member who attempts to get near her, talk to her, or otherwise glom onto her otherwise overtaxed personal space.
She will resume her regular rounds of mommy-hood and poorly edited, incoherent ranting tomorow.
In the meantime, should you spot an over-aged, over-weight woman with squirrel-in-a-clothes-dryer hair laying on her stomach with her thumb in her mouth and clutching a 1/2 knitted fingerless mitt to her chest like a wooby, please remove the fork from my ass--it is obvious to all that I'm done.

Your on the downward side of the mitt. Put it in time out, until Friday night and pick it up during Moonlight. It will be done in no-time.
Perhaps Ms. Lane needs some alone time? Perhaps she should take herself out to a book store or the mall or the forest or someplace quiet and have her mate watch over the children for a short time? Perhaps this would restore her so that she might not need the wooby any more? If not, there's always hard liquor, but that's usually not the recommended course around small ones. Chocolate is an acceptable substitute, though.
Poor poor you. Stop trying to be the enerigzer bunny! You need to be recharged!

Oh shit, you are funny! I have been a terribly negligent blogger lately and even worse at staying caught up with the blogs I love. The only thing I read regularly is the Harlot. I came back to you today from her comments. I am backtracking and trying to catch up with all I have missed reading lately and got this far before I had to send a comment because I just laughed so hard I cried! Thank you and good luck on the holiday knitting. I realized a couple of days ago that I would have to knit a sock a day from here to the 25th to MAYBE get everything done. I don't think so. What gets done, gets done. January is a great month for presents. For that matter, any day is a good day to receive a special hand knit something.
