Not Quite Live...

Okay--we've just returned from the zoo, and tomorrow I will probably post some photos along with a long-neglected episode of Top Sheep. (My work problems sort of took precedence for a while, but I've attained perspective and Top Sheep will have out.) Anyway, all I wanted to say for this very itty bitty teeny tiny post is this:

BOUND IS LIVE!!!!

Well, almost--it is available from its publisher at the moment--if you'd rather order it from amazon.com (and, frankly, I check the amazon.com stats more regularly, so your purchase there gives me a total thrill, but I'll by-pass the thrill in favor of any book sale I can get) you have to wait--it probably won't be live on amazon for at least a week. But if you want a 12 page preview and a look at the chapter headings, you can. For those who know me in person, I probably have another week to get copies to show off... But anyway, here's the link--and now it's the bite-my-nails, drive-my-mate-crazy phase where I keep wondering, "Will they like it? Is it good enough? Is anybody disappointed? Is it as good as the first? Worse? Better?" And then Mate jumps up and down on my head and says FOR CRAP'S SAKE STOP IT YOU'RE MAKING ME CRAZY and then the reviews start showing up--you've seen that part. Really, none of it is pretty. Welcome to the madness--I'm so terribly glad you're here. And now, introducing,

BOUND by amy lane

  1. No self doubt lady! I'm going to love it. I've missed visiting with Cory, Green and everyone else. I can find out what has been going on since Wounded. Yippee

  2. Hooray! I passed Vulnerable and Wounded on to Mandy yesterday. I can't wait, can't wait, can't wait! Can we pre-order on Amazon?

  3. No--unfortunately pre-ordering is for real publishing companies... you can pre-order it from i-Universe, but it doesn't come with any of the perks of a long-time association w/amazon.com. (Mate is pretty sure that I helped amazon fund their last upgrade...I told him that he exaggerated...I was only responsible for 50-60% of that last one...) I'll let you know when it's on amazon... (probably on 2 different e-mails...self-aggrandize much, amy? No thanks, I've got plenty...)

  4. I bought your book around 9 pm last night...it is now 4:30 the next morning. My eyes burn, and I'm not sure how I'm gonna make it to class later today, but I couldn't stop reading. Bound was wonderful. It made me laugh, (I thought I was going to bust a gut in the human sexuality class!) it made me cry, it made me think and feel. I can't give higher praise than that. It was as perfect a sequel to Vulnerable and Wounded as I could ever have imagined. I will write a real review on Amazon when it does come out there, but for now let me just say thank you for writing such a wonderful book.

  8. Congratubloodylations! You've successfuly pushed out another offspring. What an accomplishment! I'm so happy, proud, envious, excited for you. And, if you recall, Amy Lane books are exempt from the Dent Squad variation of [Read] From Your Stash 2007. I just have to let the BabyMint Mastercard cool off after this month's Planet Waves and Paula's Choice splurges. I know just what I'm getting myself for Spring Solstice this year (OK, not a normal gift-giving occasion. Until now!!! Bwa ha!!!)

  9. Does anyone who has ordered from that site before know around how long it takes them to ship an item? I'm really tempted to purchase it from them and just pay the shipping, but if they take a long time to ship, I figure i'm just better off waiting for Amazon and using my 2-day free shipping. Either way I must have this soon! I knew I should not have read those 12 pages because now I have to suffer.

  11. Holy fucking shit! You published my name in your book. That's so damn cool! My 15 min of fame (or 15 milliseconds). And you spelled it right!

I once had a PROFESSOR no less suggest the spelling of my name was WRAY.

Anyway, I HAVE to read it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Yeah...a lot of you are in there... I'm actually hoping I caught everybody...it's just that the blogosphere has been so supportive of my writing, I really thought you all deserved thanks. Which reminds me...about all of today's comments? Uhm...*blush* Thanks. Tons of chocolate style thanks...with caramel and nuts.

  13. I secone rae's HOLY FUCKING SHIT! You so made my day. I can't believe you included me in your acknowledgements. I nearly cried when I saw that (but opted for profanity instead!)
Mandy says she hasn't been able to put Vulnerable down all day. Thought you'd like to know. :)
