If things had been like this when we were young, think of all the great books that the teachers wouldn't have wanted to touch because they "weren't on any standard test". And your salary shouldn't be based on how well your students can take a test. That well and truly sucks.Donna Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07877384848664758611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7038815217243908035.post-50389503768474683462008-04-23T13:16:00.000-07:002008-04-23T13:16:00.000-07:00Tests should be mostly over soon. My guess is that some of the kids who come back to visit, and tell you how well they are now doing, didn't test well either.Galadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09246042661575565455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7038815217243908035.post-41829625634698056932008-04-22T19:33:00.000-07:002008-04-22T19:33:00.000-07:00OMG!! I did a psych sub major and did a masters in sociology and just for the record - tests only test the ability to do tests - IQ tests don't test how smart kids are or how applied or anything else except the ability to do an IQ test - I bet these are much the same - and NONE of them predict how successful, kind, useful contributory or anything else kids will be. I suppose some of them test whether kids can read and understand the instructions!TinkingBellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05424679933020998879noreply@blogger.com
